A Message from the Director

To Our Valued Library Patrons,

We’re thrilled to share that the next phase of renovations at Franklin Lakes Public Library is about to begin! After the successful updates to our foyer, meeting room, and gallery, we’re moving on to Phase Two — improving the Main Library. This includes everything beyond the foyer, from the Circulation Desk to the staircase. Our entryway to the Children’s Library will be relocated, as will our Circulation Desk. We will be adding comfortable gathering areas, updating our stairwell, and introducing a recording studio! These changes will make the library even more welcoming, efficient, and enjoyable for everyone.

As with any big project, there may be some noise, dust, and shifting spaces along the way. Some areas might be temporarily closed or rearranged, but our staff will be here to help you find what you need and make your visit as smooth as possible.

We’re so grateful for your patience, flexibility, and enthusiasm as we continue this exciting transformation together. Each phase brings us closer to a refreshed library that better serves our community — and we can’t wait to share the results with you!

With excitement,
Elysse Fink
Director, Franklin Lakes Public Library
