The Hub

The Hub is the literature blog for YALSA, the Young Adult Library Services
Association. The mission of The Hub: Your Connection to Teen Reads is to provide a
one-stop-shop for finding information about teen reads, including recommendations
for great teen reads, information about YALSA lists and awards, book trailers and
other book-related videos, and best of the best lists.

Content is created by librarians and teens, with a particular focus on YALSA’s
booklists and book awards, book related projects, literacy and reading, and authors.
The Hub Member Manager and Advisory Board members regularly review comments on the site to guarantee appropriateness.

Want To Be A Library Champion?
Library Champions are patrons who love their libraries and want to be in the know about issues that may affect them.  Library Champions’ email addresses will be entered into a distribution list and will be contacted when important library issues arise.  The Champions can then take appropriate action such as phone calls, emails to legislators or simply talking up the library to their neighbors.  All you have to do is go to http://www.bccls.org/champions to enter your name and home town and either an email address or a phone number (phone number only if you do not have an email address) and then click on the "Join the Champions" button.  Be our champion in tough times.

Register for all programs online through the calendar or call 201.891.2224.  Programs are free and open to teens in Grades 6-12.
